History

Inner City Club Football has been successfully serving the community since the summer of 2003. The club started off with three football enthusiastic children whose parents wanted to see their child learn the fundamentals of football as well as play in a safe environment.

Since 2003, the club has developed vastly that today we have over 90 children between the ages of 5 to 16 years old. With this the club had also invested in hiring more young FA qualified coaches who show commitment by giving their spare time towards the community. Our main objective is to unite youths of all cultures and backgrounds to enjoy football together regardless of ability levels and learn how to respect good etiquettes that the youth today are lacking. As a result the coaches are multi-tasking by not just teaching football, but giving their experiences and passing on their knowledge of social conducts, respecting everyone, and etiquettes of moral and ethical standards to encourage them to stay away from trouble.

"They're all bunched up!!"

By Ihor Chyzowych

That's what I hear at every U-8 youth soccer coaching course I teach. My reply is always the same: "That's OK!"

Then I get the puzzled looks from nearly every coach or coach-to-be.

The kids know what they're doing, it's the parents and the new coaches who are confused.

Adults see the bunch of players as unorganized -- not as a team. That's the first problem. Because, at this point, it's really not a team.
